In this school project in such hot climate area in Upper Egypt like El Minia, designer tried to decrease the heat loads of the building by using external double walls of hollow clay blocks and heat insulation fibers in between, in the same time, vertical brick sun breakers were put in front of widows on an inclined angle for east and west elevations.
The external double walls enabled designing flexible facades with long vertical and horizontal openings. Sun barkers also are used as architectural aesthetic elements in facades using joyful colors

We designed the school building with a large open plaza in the center which is considered as the heart of the school and it’s used for assembly and ceremonies, this plaza is surrounded by administration , sports hall and multi-purpose hall buildings which are oriented directly to the main streets and can be easily operated for community events. The school buildings are oriented to the back side facing the sport fields and the main spine, all educational buildings are connected in sequence with an arcaded educational street which leads the student from a stage to the next one. This tower works as a distinguished land mark for the project which carries the national flag, and also works as a public service for the district

The new Village provides 2 types of residential units, of which are affordable housing, with the ambition of reducing social inequity. The units comprise of 1-3 bedroom apartments and an inner court, all of which are targeting to be able to house the local needs.
